Port Free Medical Clinic

Medical students have been invited to volunteer at the Port Free Clinic at 5135 South Ashland in Chicago. The clinic serves those people form the Back of the Yard Neighborhood who have no medical insurance. Almost half of the patients served by the Port Free Clinic are homeless individuals. The need is great, including the need for an additional preceptors.

Click here for more information about volunteering. You may also email Karen Flemming (kflemi2@uic.edu) or Christopher Schultz (cschul4@uic.edu)).

Scheduling of students to help in the clinic will be handled by Ellen Kilmurry. You can contact her at 773-778-5955 voicemail box 16. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday daytime and Saturday AM are the optimal times for students to work with an attending.

Please mark your calendars with the above dates.
